Targeted neighborhoods benefit as residents develop a greater awareness of the consequences associated with lead exposure. Minimizing the risks of this exposure and developing methods to safely manage within a leaded environment are key elements. Outreach and education within these targeted areas reach and assist many different audiences. From schools, daycare centers, parenting groups, landlords, property managers, contractors, painters and homeowners the City's Lead Program informs, educates and recruits clients for its on-going lead hazard-reduction program.
