Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule
On April 22, 2010, a new rule from the EPA will be enforced. This rule is the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, most commonly known as Renovate Right. Under this rule, it is required for all contractors performing any renovation (repair, painting, etc.) on pre-1978 housing, schools or child care facilities to be certified and abide by lead safe work practices to prevent lead contamination in and around the work zone.
